Downloading YouTube videos for classroom use

As you're probably well aware, District policy currently prevents us from accessing YouTube from the school network.  This is for a number of reasons, including: there are a great number of videos with objectionable content in them, our filter works on an "all or nothing" basis, so there's no way to "just open up the good videos," it's important that we minimize online video streaming, to preserve bandwidth for instructional sites, online...

Wolfram Alpha - one of the best sites you've (probably) never heard of

The website Wolfram|Alpha ( describes itself as "a fundamentally new way to get knowledge and answers—not by searching the web, but by doing dynamic computations based on a vast collection of built-in data, algorithms, and methods."
